Fall for the Colors Quilted Coat — Kaffe Fassett | Handmade in Cotuit

A wearable piece of textile art, this vibrant quilted coat was thoughtfully designed and handmade by me for my Fabric & Soul collection in Cotuit, Massachusetts. Inspired by years of quilting, textile work, and a love for bold color, this coat brings together rich Kaffe Fassett fabrics, intricate machine quilting, and heirloom-quality craftsmanship.

The body of the coat was machine pieced and fully quilted with careful attention to detail throughout. The sleeves were thread painted by machine, adding texture, depth, and artistic movement to the floral design. Handmade binding finishes every edge beautifully, while vintage-inspired gold military metal buttons give the piece a distinctive coastal New England character true to the Fabric & Soul brand.

This coat reflects my long history working with these extraordinary fabrics — from quilts to covered Adirondack chairs and other textile creations — always celebrating color, texture, and craftsmanship.
