Harbor Heritage Quilted Coat
This coat began with a rare find: a carefully curated luxury anchor fabric, waiting for the right hands.
One of a Kind. Never Mass Produced.
A Fabric & Soul original inspired by Cape Cod harbors, maritime history, and the beauty of American craftsmanship.
The exterior fabric — a rich navy woven with classic ivory anchors — was carefully curated and transformed in my Cotuit, Cape Cod studio into a wearable piece of maritime-inspired art. Each coat is individually quilted, constructed, and finished by hand.
Every layer of this coat tells a story.
- Carefully curated luxury woven anchor fabric — rare and unused
- Egyptian cotton anchor-print lining, proudly made in Ohio, USA
- Authentic Military Sealift Command brass buttons by the historic Waterbury Button Company of Connecticut
- 80/20 cotton/poly batting for lightweight warmth
- Cape Cod studio craftsmanship — one-of-one construction
Inside is a beautiful nautical surprise: premium Egyptian cotton printed with tiny navy and red anchors, made in Ohio, USA. The soft cotton lining adds both comfort and a hidden detail of craftsmanship.
The finishing touch is a set of authentic Military Sealift Command brass buttons made by the historic Waterbury Button Company of Connecticut. Featuring the MSC anchor emblem, these maritime uniform buttons bring a connection to America's working seafaring tradition — and they are the kind of detail that makes someone stop and ask, "What's the story behind this?"
From the carefully curated fabric to the USA-made lining and authentic maritime details, every element was chosen intentionally. You cannot comparison shop this against a factory coat — because nothing like it exists.
Perfect for cool evenings by the harbor, seaside dinners, boat outings, coastal walks, or anyone who loves timeless New England style.
