Red China Print Cotton Shirt – Upcycled Vintage Tablecloth | Handmade Slow Fashion
Bold as a set table. Beautiful as the story behind it.
This one-of-a-kind button-front shirt from Fabric & Soul is cut from a beautifully preserved vintage cotton tablecloth — its bold red china medallion print featuring teapots, pitchers, and cups framed in deep crimson ovals with olive green vine borders and black dot detailing. Red buttons echo the print perfectly. The back is a rich red tonal paisley cotton, pieced with a diagonal yoke of the china print at the shoulder — a design detail that makes this shirt as interesting from behind as it is from the front.
Heavier than linen, this cotton has real substance and drape — the kind of fabric that feels like it was made to last another 50 years.
As with all Fabric & Soul pieces made from vintage textiles, slight variations or minor imperfections in the fabric are part of its authentic character and history.
