A one-of-a-kind wearable artwork made from an early 1900s postage stamp quilt, reimagined into a softly structured quilted coat.

Sustainable, hand-finished, and rich with history—this is heirloom textile fashion made to be worn.

This unique quilted coat is crafted from a postage stamp quilt believed to date back to the early 1900s. The fabric remains remarkably well preserved, with muted, time-softened tones that feel both historic and contemporary at once. In quilting circles, it was described as "Paris Fashion Week runway gorgeous," reflecting its rare visual impact and artistry.

The original quilt features 1.25" postage stamp squares in a beautiful mix of small-scale prints and muted neutrals, arranged in a traditional patchwork layout. The original tied quilting has been thoughtfully preserved and incorporated into the design, adding texture and authenticity to the finished coat.

Inside, the quilt's soft cotton layer—more naturally breathable and softer than modern batting—was carefully washed and restored before construction. A coordinating small-print lining completes the interior, maintaining the quiet detail found throughout the piece.

Finished with warm tan snap closures, this coat balances structure with softness and honors the original textile while giving it a second life as wearable art.
