Vintage Wall Hanging Quilted Jacket — Women's Large
Some pieces begin as one thing and quietly become something else entirely. This jacket started life as a quilted wall hanging — and after careful study, precise cutting, and a lot of standing back to stare — it's now a wearable work of art.
The body panels carry the original wall hanging's design: lighter teal and cream sections that offer visual breathing room, framed by warm chocolate binding. The sleeves were custom-made to carry the pattern story forward — picking up the warm tans and browns with less blue and white, creating balance across the whole piece. All quilt binding was removed and reapplied to finish the sleeves and neckline with care.
This is slow fashion at its most intentional. One seam at a time.

A Note on Vintage Materials
The body of this jacket is made from reclaimed fabric that has lived a previous life. As with any textile of unknown age, subtle signs of wear — gentle fading, soft fraying, or a quiet patina — may be present in the body panels. These are not flaws; they are part of the fabric's history and an intentional element of the design. They add character, authenticity, and charm that no new cloth can replicate. The sleeve fabrics are new old-stock and unused.
