1950s "Everyday Bloom" Tunic | Vintage Tablecloth Top | Medium
Crafted with Story & Soul
There are textiles that arrive already knowing what they want to become. This piece began as a 1950s white cotton tablecloth — its cheerful blue floral basket print too alive to stay folded in a drawer. In the studio, it revealed its next life slowly: a soft summer tunic, grounded by light denim, lifted by lace, and finished with the kind of handmade detail that only comes from letting the fabric lead.
The print was cleverly cut to coordinate with the denim accents — the blues speaking to each other across the garment in a way that feels intentional and effortless.
Sometimes a fabric arrives with such presence that everything else pauses until its new story is complete.

A Note on Vintage Materials
All fabrics used in this piece are reclaimed or upcycled. As with any textile that has lived a previous life, subtle signs of age — gentle fading, soft fraying, or a quiet patina — may be present. These are not flaws; they are part of the fabric's history and an intentional element of the design. They add character, authenticity, and charm that no new cloth can replicate.
Sustainability
Created entirely from reclaimed textiles — 1950s cotton table linen, upcycled denim, and coordinating cotton binding — honoring the original materials while extending their life into a new wearable form.
Why It's Special
No two pieces like this exist. The print placement, the denim yoke, the ruffle pocket detail — each decision was made in response to this specific cloth. Meant to be worn, loved, and passed on.
